Muriel is passionate about unlocking human potential to help people live radically fulfilling lives. She combines her love of industrial-organizational psychology, data science, economics, and technology to explore how times of technological change can be leveraged for the betterment of all workers. Her goal is to positively impact a billion people through tools that help them have agency and dignity in their careers.

Muriel is a speaker and contributor on the future of work. She has been featured in the Wall Street Journal and Fast Company. Muriel was named a 2017 "Game-Changer" by Women at the Frontier as an innovator in science and technology. She has been a featured speaker for China's SAI Task Force on Innovation and the American Society for Public Administrators, as well as a keynote speaker for the World Bank. She is an expert contributor for initiatives including Japan's Society 5.0 and is a member of the i4j (Innovation for Jobs) think tank. She has worked as a development consultant in several Fortune 500 companies and government institutions.

As a researcher, she explores the future of work, technological job disruptions, innovation, workforce engagement, AI applications, and more as she earns her doctorate in industrial-organizational psychology at UGA. She directs the LEAD laboratory and has authored several academic journal publications and conference presentations. Muriel was a GSP participant at Singularity University after winning a Global Impact Competition with her invention of a novel measure of human potential.

As a social entrepreneur, she is the founder of Oppticity. The aim of Oppticity is to map the “nervous-system of skills” to help inform education policy and worker development – a tool for individuals and organizations as they navigate rapid technological changes. She also founded Udexter – a SU ecosystem startup founded at the NASA Ames Research Center, focused on guiding workers facing job disruptions.
