Barbara is a Catalyst of Innovation Ecosystems. She advises business leaders, corporations and governments in their innovation strategy and in the design of new business models to face the economy of disruption and shape the industries of the future in Latin America and Europe.
In 2016, Barbara introduced the first Singularity University Summit in Latin America, a global conversation about exponential technologies and their impact on business, public policies and society that is taking place in countries like Denmark, Japan, Germany, Italy , Holland, Canada, the United States, New Zealand and Australia.
Recently, she was appointed as a representative for South America by the Stanford Research Institute (SRI International), a non-profit research center that brings the most advanced R & D from the laboratory to the market located in Silicon Valley.
Barbara is part of the Innovation Committee of Sofofa and the Productivity Commission of the Chamber of Commerce of Santiago. He was Vice President of the Innovation Committee of Open Beauchef of the University of Chile.
Her passion is to democratize women's access to innovation tools. In 2012 she was the one who initiated the women's movement in innovation in Chile and South America connecting South American women with the knowledge and network of successful women in Silicon Valley. Then he created "HER GLOBAL IMPACT", his non-profit organization that focuses on the training and acceleration of women entrepreneurs.
She won the award for innovative young women at the Asia-Pacific Economic Forum in 2013 and was the first Latin American woman invited to attend the G8 Summit in 2013 in London. In 2014 he was recognized as one of the 100 young leaders of Chile and is currently a member of the global Cartier Women's Initiative Award Jury.
Mentor, speaker and promoter of diversity and companies with the purpose, Barbara brings a Latin American perspective in a global world, her work has appeared on CNN several times.
Bárbara was born in Valparaíso, Chile, has a degree in Social Sciences and the title of Psychologist was honored by the UAI with the Scholarship of Academic Excellence. He has a Master's degree in Organizational Psychology and a Master's Degree in Innovation from Adolfo Ibáñez University.
Barbara was the first Chilean woman to study at Singularity University in 2012 and received a scholarship from Heidi Roizen, investor of the DFJ investment fund in Silicon Valley to attend Draper University in 2014.
She is currently Associate Professor of the Adolfo Ibáñez University, for the executive training programs of the most important business school in Chile.
